Compact 5G Vivaldi Tapered Slot Filtering Antenna with Enhanced Bandwidth

Compact fifth-generation (5G) low-frequency band filtering antennas (filtennas) with stable directive radiation patterns, improved bandwidth (BW), and gain are designed, fabricated, tested in this research. The proposed filtennas achieved by combining the predesigned compact 5G (5.975 – 7.125 GHz) third-order uniform non-uniform transmission line hairpin bandpass filters (UTL NTL HPBFs) ultrawide Vivaldi tapered slot antenna (UWB VTSA) one module. objective of integration is to enhance performance 5.975 GHz which will be suitable for modern mobile communication applications exploiting benefits UWB VTSA. Based on HPBF, more space provided add direct current (DC) biassing circuits cognitive radio networks (CRNs) frequency reconfigurable applications. To overcome mismatch between HPBFs VTSA, detailed parametric studies presented. Computer simulation technology (CST) software used study. Good measured S11 appeared < −13 −10.54 dB at 5.48 7.73 5.9 7.98 peak realized gains 6.37 6.27 dBi, VTSA UTL HPBFs, respectively outperforms filters. Validation carried out comparing simulated results.
